Gorgeous, muscular, tall — Miri compares him to star quarterback Rob Morgan from her OP high school. Physically imposing; Miri notes he is larger than most men (Day 45). Broad-shouldered build; strong jawline; dark, intense eyes; serious, stern expression.
Hair and face: Long, thick, wavy black hair past the shoulders. Full, well-groomed dark beard and mustache.
Typical dress: Ornate brown leather breastplate and pauldrons with metal studs and rivets; chainmail at neck and underarms; large circular chest medallion; black leather gauntlets; brown leather belt with heavy buckle. Tournament champion with mounted lance and sword on foot (Day 3).

Robert is son of Lord Mayor Edward (later King Edward) and Queen Ælfwynn. Second heir after Prince Alfred's murder (Day 8). Created Duke morning of Day 12; publicly betrothed to Miri same day.
Father orchestrated regicide conspiracy; Robert is party to succession planning. Miri reveals she knows he intends to kill Edward once King (Day 12); Robert does not deny it. Miri offers Lisette's slow-acting poison for that purpose (Day 41); Robert agrees to delay acting on Miri's advice (Day 45).
Married Miri Day 37 in Haven Great Hall; becomes Prince when Ludwig dies (Day 41). Wife announced pregnant at Edward's coronation (Day 49). Supports Matthias's windmill Royal Patent (Day 48). Names cousin Jillian as Miri's attendant (Day 45).
Personality¶
Confident noble warrior uncomfortable with desk work (Day 53). Honors bargains Miri drives — pre-marital fidelity, discreet tryst pact with Matthias (Days 17–18). Grateful for Miri's craft and counsel; defers to her on poisoning timing and court strategy. Traditional about Commander of the King's Guard role but accepts Miri's historical argument for field patrol (Day 53).
